Bruh Issa Murder

After a long day of work, you finally get to set the dim low and light a candle to start your journey into the deep abyss of a twisted story and fate with your current true crime podcast binge..

…And that is right where the Bruh Issa Murder podcast switches things up. This isn’t your standard true crime podcast. Brah Issa Murder brings an energized look at crimes you likely aren’t familiar with, presented in a truly refreshing manner. Bra Issa Murder theme song differentiates it from any other true crime podcast. The insanely catchy introductory song (I’ll spare you a written attempt) is just a sliver of the personality listeners will be met with when they push play.

The core personality is the wonderfully talented and vibrant host Andre Matthews. Since launching in 2018, Andre has dedicated his true crime podcast to stories not covered by mainstream media or possibly forgotten in our cluttered feeds. These are stories of less marginalized people in the United States. Andre focuses on stories involving people of color, homeless, and the LGBTQ community. From the beginning Andre clearly states why – “these communities of people seem to be clarified as “less dead” than others”. And who can argue with him given our current landscape.

Bruh Issa a Murder is a voice for the voiceless in the true crime community. Andre and his co-host Battle both bring a separate case to the episode to discuss with the listener. The duo uses their chemistry and wit to describe the details surrounding the case and tell the listener why they needed to hear about the story. The duo personalizes each case (sometimes with a hint of humor) but never forget about the victim

Each episode of Bruh Issa Murder walks the line of comedy versus reality. Andre does a great job of presenting the case in a serious tone, but his personality brings brevity to the case and invites the listener to feel like they are a part of the discussion. Episodes typically run 30-45 minutes but feel like they go by quicker. We highly recommend this podcast to true crime lovers as they bring light to injustices that we see happening all across the US, and use their platform for all the right reasons.
