Host Mike Fergueson already knows why you are listening to True Crime All the Time. It’s because he knows that you are a fan of true crime just like he is. Mike’s fascination starts at a deeper level than just the crime – he wants to know why it happened and dig deep into the minds of the of the person committing the crime. The production quality is strong and Mike does not discriminate when it comes to the material he is covering. You will hear about cases you may be familiar with but there are many cases you won’t be aware of.
True Crime is not for the faint of heart. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty on the details and try to understand why a crime occurs. Which is the real focus of the show. You will hear about serial and both nonserial cases all while Mike and his cohost Gibby (Mike Gibson) add a strong amount of color commentary. They don’t take themselves too seriously but they do take their content serious.
The show is flush with commentary and statistics that the Mikes provide. The majority of the episodes are about serial killers and what makes them tick. They provide insightful background details and do so through the art of storytelling. The Mikes will also bring you some two-parter episodes, one being my personal favorite – The Scott Peterson case. The podcast is an interesting listen with not many media cuts and can at times feel like it’s dragging but the Mikes always keep it fun and lighthearted.
