Crime in Sports: Name a more dynamic duo

True Crime podcasting is often filled with stories highlighting some of the most gruesome acts by horrible people. Crime and Sports takes an entirely different approach to True Crime. Hosts and comedians James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman focus on stars that lost the big games – not the Super Bowl or World Series but run-ins with the law. James and Jimmie are going to make you feel like you are “hanging out with the guys” discussing ridiculous crimes athletes have found themselves in the middle of them.

James and Jimmie are both comedians, but not the try-hard type. Their chemistry is real. When I first heard listened to this show, I couldn’t help but notice their laid back yet informative approach. The show includes quotes and anecdotes from the athletes in question. It’s was no surprise that they offer another podcast called Small Town Murder, which is a more focused offering. To the listener, it really seems like this is a passion project for James Jammie.

Crime in Sports is a twisted version of sports talk radio. Similar to other coloforl commentator shows (like Felger and Maz), the Crime in Sports is a healthy mix of both the case and the commentators themselves. It’s a great listen if you want to carry something throughout your whole day. It typically spans about 2-3 hours but is not short in content and comedy.
