True Crime Finland

Minna takes listeners into crimes committed in the land of midnight sun. It is a newer podcast (as I write this I hope it grows). Each week she covers a new case taken place in Finland and likely one you have not heard unless you are Finnish. I do not know much about Finland—full disclosure I am from New England—but I have not known about any of these cases before listening. I love learning new facts that slip under the radar and the stories behind them. Many of my main shows cover the same crimes from time to time, and I usually will skip an episode if I know the case well.

Mina researches each case, and relies on her narration to tell the story. Her voice in monotone through the show and possibly could use a little more “umf”. But her innocent voices adds a dark undertone to the show.

True Crime Final is still in their infancy and figuring out their style. I do think they could try and add some music to the show—it will help flow. However, I hope this show continually grows, because I believe micro level shows are the next movement.
